Bob Etherton (pictured) is the new chairman of the Torquay United Official Supporters’ Club. This comes as Bernard Noble has stepped down from the role after moving away from the area. We thank Bernard for all of his hard work in getting TUOSC off the ground.

Bob is eager to continue the good work that TUOSC does and has already pinpointed Torquay United Ladies’ Devon Cup Final against Plymouth Argyle as TUOSC’s first port of call.

We, the committee of Torquay United Official Supporters’ Club would like to express our thanks to Bernard Noble for setting up TUOSC and for his hard work in making it such a success.

Bob Etherton is the new Chair with Alex Campbell as Treasurer, John Prior, Sandra Willis, Brian Ellingworth, Debbie Reynolds and Carole Arnold will take on roles such as taking bullet point minutes of meetings, events, and Junior Gull activities.

It is our intention to change the membership slightly to make it easier to administer. New family and junior memberships will be created and renewals will now commence from the start of the football season. New forms will be sent out during the summer in readiness.

We will still have a TUOSC desk on matchdays and it will be clearly indicated in the Gulls Nest bar in the Family Stand at Plainmoor, so please come and say hello. Our main aim is to bring supporters closer to the Club, and to the 1st team players and management of Torquay United and Torquay United Ladies. We are in the process of looking at events that everyone can get involved in so please check in on this page for information.

Our first task is to get as many people to the Devon County FA site in Coach Road, Newton Abbot on Friday April 6th (7pm KO) to support Torquay United Ladies as possible. They are playing Plymouth Argyle Ladies in the Devon Cup Final. The Ladies are flying high this season in the South West Women’s Premier League.

We will be giving the first 50 Junior Gulls through the gate some goodies so please send out the message and get down to support the ladies. (There will be a small charge administered by Devon FA on the gate).

Finally, our thanks go to Torquay United for making this all possible. Let’s get behind the team COYY!

Cheers,

Bob Etherton
