Shirt Sponsors - 420 Skatestore
THESE are exciting times for Torquay United FC and it seems rather appropriate that we should link-up with a vibrant and forward-thinking business with its roots firmly in the local area as our new front of shirt sponsor.
420 Skatestore is the brainchild of Darren Manley, a Torquay-born entrepreneur and fan of the Gulls.
“It’s really special for me to see the name of 420 Skatestore adorning the Torquay United shirts for the season ahead,” said lifelong supporter Manley, who picks out the likes of Lee Sharpe, Darren Moore, Matt Elliott, Gregory Goodridge and Rodney Jack as his favourite United players from over the years. “We opened our first store in April 2015 and since then a further six have opened across the UK.
“We’ve also managed to get Lee Dainton from Dirty Sanchez and an ex pro skateboarder involved and the next phase of our development is for him to set up a skate team and turn it into one of the most recognisable brands in the UK, so these are exciting times for us and the same can be said for Torquay United.”
The business, which specialises in skate clothing and hardware, footwear, Go Pro’s and watches from leading brands, operates from Newton Abbot, where a warehouse outlet will be opening soon. You can visit the website here: www.420skatestore.co.uk.
Gulls supporters are able to enjoy 10% off everything online and in store by using the special discount code Gulls10 at the checkout, whilst further advantages and offers are also in the pipeline.
“We are delighted to be working with such an emerging company,” said Torquay United Commercial Manager, Sharon Cox. “This is going to be an exciting partnership as there is so much scope for us to work together for mutual benefit.
“We would like to thank Darren and 420 Skatestore for becoming a key commercial partner and joining us on our journey.”
