TORQUAY United remain very much alive in the fight for a place at Wembley after the First leg of the FA Trophy Semi-Final.
Wrexham will bring a 2-1 lead back to the Launa Windows Stadium next weekend and will have to face the passion of a special Yellow Day for the Gulls.
The Red Dragons deserved their win in the First Leg, taking the lead with a stunner from Joe Clarke and Louis Moult added a second, but a late reply by Ryan Bowman keeps United very much in the tie.
“From what could have been a bad situation, we are very much in the tie, but Wrexham were better than us for most of this game,” conceded United boss Chris Hargreaves.
“We matched them up tactically in the first half but we obviously weren’t good enough man to man, on and off the ball. We changed it, got more width and attacking play, and that reaped rewards in the end.”
