Harrad cleared to play in Saturday's 3pm kick-off against Boreham Wood

After a hectic two matches which saw United score nine goals and concede eight, United welcome Boreham Wood to Plainmoor.

The Gaffer isn’t taking too much from the goal-filled festive doubleheader.

“Those two games didn’t really make sense. We haven’t conceded many goals but we haven’t scored that many. All of a sudden it all breaks loose for two games.”

Kevin Nicholson will once again be with Giancarlo Gallifuoco after a scan confirmed that the defender will be out for 4-6 weeks. Midfielder Luke Young and Damon Lathrope continue their faster than expected recoveries from their respective injuries. United have received International clearance to play forward and new signing striker Shaun Harrad for tomorrow’s match. Defender Paul Rooney and forward Jamie Reid have extended their loans with the Club and will be included in the matchday squad.

“Boreham gave us a good going over at their place. It was one of our worst performaces and they took full advantage,” said Kevin.

“They’re having a fantastic season. They’ve got a solid defence that hasn’t let in many goals. They’ve got pace up front which is a massive danger on the break and pace out wide.

“It is up to us to impose ourselves on them like we did against Forest Green. If we do that then we’ll have a chance of beating anyone, no matter where they are in the League.

Boreham Wood lie in 12th position of the National League table having won ten, drawn eight, and lost nine of their twenty seven matched so far. They go into Saturday’s match without a win in six games and on the back of a 1-0 loss against Eastleigh last time out. They recently bolstered their squad with the loan signing of Jason Williams from Southend United.
