Torquay United defender Ben Gerring is set to join National League South side Truro City until the end of the season, with an option to recall the defender after 28 days.
Gerring has been recovering from a groin strain since his loan move to Weston-super-Mare expired at the end of February.
“It is good for him to go out there and get some more games,” said Torquay United player-manager Kevin Nicholson.
“I haven’t closed the door on him at all but he needs to show me that he can be consistent, and dominant, and the right sort of leader I want back here.
“He's joining them on a loan deal until the end of the season but we have an option to bring him back after 28 days. He'll be playing under 'Hodgey' [Truro City manager, Lee Hodges] who I know very well. I’ll be getting regular reports and if 28 days down the line if things have changed and he has done the job, then I’ll have no hesitation in bringing him back here to make sure we see out our season positively.
