Torquay United AFC is pleased to confirm the signing of forward Shaun Harrad subject to International clearance.
Shaun, 32, was signed by Kevin Nicholson in January 2016 and he went on to forge and impressive partnership with fellow striker Nathan Blissett.
Harrad signed for Wrexham at the beginning of the season and scored two goals in eighteen National League appearances along with two goals in the FA Cup before leaving after the expiration of his short-term contract.
Harrad scored three goals during his spell at Plainmoor last season including an important second goal against Altrincham at home in April. His work-rate and all-round game found a home at Plainmoor and it is no surprise that player-manager Kevin Nicholson has brought him back into his squad.
“He’s got a vast amount of experience which is something that we’ve been lacking,” said Nicholson.
“Above all the work-rate and what he brings off the pitch, the leadership qualities and how he is as a man will be something the lads can look up to.”
“If he holds the ball up and lets the other buys run off him it will give us that edge. Shaun brings us a different dynamic.”
