Torquay United fans can look forward to a friendly between a Torquay United XI and Torbay Police FC in June.
Torbay Police FC was founded in October 2010 by three members of staff from Devon and Cornwall Police The main aim of the club being to organise and play in football matches/events in aid of local charities to help children with life changing/limiting conditions.
Their first ever match was on 8th November 2010 vs Torquay United All Stars, who were captained by Chris Hargreaves at Coach Road. Torquay United All Stars won 3-1 and the day raised around £1000 for Rowcroft Hospice. Torbay Police FC goalkeeper Lee Metherell was Man of the Match after being peppered in goal from shots from TUFC XI including saving a penalty from Chris Hargreaves.
The fixture is due to take place on Thursday 1st June at the Devon County FA Headquarters, Coach Road, Newton Abbot, TQ12 1EJ, kicking off 7:30pm. A suggested donation of £2 per person at the gate will go to Torbay Holiday Helpers Network - http://www.thhn.co.uk/. The match is named the 'Tides Marine Cup' after Torbay Police’s sponsor Tides Marine International LTD.

The players representing Torquay United XI will be confirmed in the lead up to the fixture.
