Leadbitter in Line for Another Start

ONE of the major positives from Saturday’s narrow loss to Fleetwood was the sight of full-back Daniel Leadbitter rampaging down the right flank.

His incredible pace and athleticism was a major bonus to the Gulls and with Joe Oastler still struggling with a foot injury, Danny is likely to start again for tonight’s visit of Rotherham to Plainmoor.

“In all the games Danny has played this season, he has carried the ball forward very well and Saturday was probably his best game for the club,” said assistant manager Shaun Taylor.

“He will probably have another good chance of staking his claim because Joe remains doubtful and we will assess him before the game. There are a few niggling injuries within the squad but they all trained yesterday, so we should be ok.

“The ball is in the court of every player and those in the starting 11 have the challenge of trying to keep their shirt for the next game.”
