UNITED skipper Lee Mansell ended the Devon derby with a nasty gash in his knee, which looks certain to keep him out of the weekend trip to Aldershot.
The Gulls ended up with a 1-1 draw at Plymouth Argyle on Boxing Day and lost their captain to a painful whack in the dying seconds.
“He has a hole in his knee that will need to be stitched,” said manager Martin Ling. “Saturday will be too early but there is no broken bones or internal damage.
“He has a severely cut knee and will be out for a while, but you fear the worst when someone goes off on a stretcher. It was a tackle you expect Lee to go in for and their player did the same.
“It was a fair challenge and Lee has come off the worst, but it was nice to see him walk back to the dressing room.”
