UNITED’S youthful trio of Kirtys MacKenzie, Karl Baker and Saul Halpin have all been loaned out to aid their development as young footballers.
Defender Kirtys has joined Taunton Town in a deal that will last until April 5. Taunton are currently toiling away in mid-table of the Evo-Stik Division One South and West League.
MacKenzie signed professional terms last spring after graduating through the Plainmoor youth system and has made one appearance, helping the Gulls to a 0-0 draw at current promotion-chasers Port Vale back in September.
Wingers Karl and Saul, meanwhile, will be keeping each other company at Bideford Town in the Evo Stik Southern Premier Division, where they will remain under the guidance of Robins’ manager and former United midfielder, Sean Joyce, for the next month.
Baker is yet to make a first-team appearance with United after joining the club last Autumn, while former youth-team star Halpin has twice come off the bench for the Gulls this term.
