LLOYD Macklin is a man on a mission after earning a reprieve from his manager.
The flying winger ended the last campaign by being placed on the transfer list by a frustrated Martin Ling but Lloyd has been nothing short of brilliant through pre-season.
His sizzling form has seen the boss take him off the list and Lloyd knows he just needs to add consistency to his undoubted talent.
“It’s been a good pre-season for me so far,” he said. “I’ve got my head down, worked hard and I’m hoping it will get me in the team.
“I know I need to be more consistent in my performances. I think people know I’ve got ability, I know I’ve got it, but I’ve not produced on a regular basis. My game is running at people and I’m enjoying the chance to show people what I’ve got.
“I’ve had conversations with the manager and it’s good to hear that I’m off the transfer list. I didn’t want to leave and I’m glad to have the chance of getting in the team. Hopefully, I can find that consistency and I know I can make a difference if I show what I can do.”
