Come on down and cheer on the boys this Saturday

UNITED’S youth team will welcome Yeovil Town to Plainmoor on Saturday morning for an 11am kick-off.

If you’re not making the long trip to Fleetwood with the first-team, why not pop down to TQ1 and take in some live action with the Academy boys. Entry will be £2 for adults and £1 for kids.

On a sad note, however, the youth department has been rocked by the news that skipper Scott Beattie has been diagnosed with glandular fever.

“Unfortunately, we have learned this week that our captain Scott Beattie has gone down with glandular fever, which is a huge blow,” said head of youth Geoff Harrop.

“It could be from three weeks to six months. He has had tests and it is now confirmed, so we’ve kept him away from the club. We will have to sit down and discuss where we go from here.”

Everyone at Plainmoor would like to wish Scott (Beats) a swift recovery.
