Rochdale 2 United 1

United boss Paul Buckle gave his thoughts to the press after his side's 2-1 defeat at Rochdale: 'We have played a very good side today, they were an absolute handful up front and we found things really tough in the first half. We were still in the game because of the chances they didn't take in the first period and I felt at one nil down there was a minimum of a draw for us but then we lost (Chris) Robertson who was off the pitch far too long and it cost us. If Robbo had been in that slot they wouldn't have got in for the second goal.

'Chris Hargreaves looked to have got to the ball first and he says he has been shoved, I couldn't see from where I was but also wasn't sure about the offside given against us in the first half. I have said to the players it isn't a lack of effort because the effort is there, you can see that, and we have been travelling to some tough places but we will work hard next week and try and turn the corner against Grimsby next weekend.

'We are missing (Lee) Mansell at the moment and we are without (Kieran) Charnock and the squad is under pressure but we know that. We have kept the same squad as last year and I trust them. It has been a difficult day, Robbo isn't a natural right back although he has done brilliantly for us and their winger is a very good player in a good side. Rochdale expects to be in the play-offs while we have got a lot of work to do. The bar has been raised this season and I am hoping that this group of players can come up to the mark. I am sure that once we get a win we will be back on the right track because our performances really have deserved something but we have got nothing to show for it.'
