We Have To Dig In Now

United boss Paul Buckle spoke to the press after the 2-0 defeat to Grimsby at Plainmoor: 'It was a fight and a scrap today in the first half and we had to compete the same as Grimsby did, there was very little between the two teams in all honesty but I can't legislate for the own goal, straight after half-time, it was a complete freak goal. It hasn't come from good play and we haven't been opened up, it has just come off Nico's foot and gives them the lift they needed and a kick in the teeth to us.
'We have got to dig in now and do the right things, we need to get a win and I believe it will come next week and we will move on. It is down to me, the staff and the players to make this work. We haven't got funds to bring people in, there are no funds at all at the club to bring anybody in to change it so any movement will have to be players out to get players in and that isn't easy. I don't want to do that and I don't think we have to do that yet because we have had it very good for two years and now we are having a rocky patch but we will stand up and be counted.
'We certainly won't be feeling sorry for ourselves, we will work hard on the training pitch this week and we will try and turn the corner.'
The full post match press conference will be posted on Gulls Player later.
A United reserve side will be taking part in a friendly away at Tiverton Town this Tuesday, 22nd September with a 7.30pm kick-off.
