United 1 Bury 1

United boss Paul Buckle had mixed emotions after the 1-1 draw at Plainmoor with Bury: 'Am I pleased with a point? Yes and no. I just felt that in the first half we didn't trust ourselves enough. We know Bury are a decent side but we didn't impose ourselves upon enough in the first period, we paid them too much respect and stood off them. We had the wind at our backs so we should have raining shots down on their goal but we didn't do it and yet again the opposition have one low shot on target and we find ourselves a goal down again. This period has been a big test of character for me and the players, we got a point against Aldershot and today in the second half we could have gone on and won the game.

'In the second half Elliot Benyon gets in to the face of their centre half more along with Scott Rendell and we caused them some problems. It is two games now unbeaten against two good sides which is definitely something to build on.

'During the run of defeats we did not deserve to lose all six games and it is a confidence thing now for us. We have played well in patches and today we have gone a goal down come out in the second half against the wind and some teams would have gone under but the players have stepped it up a gear and went after Bury so the players are good enough but they still do need some help. I have said this before but we do need to add to the squad. We have a very young side here that we are trying to develop and I am speaking with the board again on Monday and we will see how we can strengthen and take things forward.'

Bucks' full post match interview will be on Gulls Player shortly.
