Bucks Targeting New Signings

Torquay United 2 Morecambe 2
United boss Paul Buckle spoke after the 2-2 draw with Morecambe and stressed his desire to go out and strengthen his Gulls squad: 'We went with three strikers and got ourselves in front and had the opportunity to step forward and go and get all three points but we couldn't do it. I understand to get higher in this league and to be better we need to bring more quality in and I will be working very hard now and in the window to do that, we need to be able to cope one versus one around the pitch when we haven't got the ball and today against Morecambe, at times, we struggled to do that especially down their right side. But having said that, we didn't lose again and we are out of the bottom two which is a big plus and is nice to see. We have got a lot of hard work ahead of us.
'Both teams could have snatched the points and it was end-to-end stuff, with all due respect to Morecambe, if we could have played that little bit better we would have won the game but we couldn't get to that level today. I've spoken to the players and been honest with them and said I will be adding to the squad now, it is time now to do it and we have to find the right players to bring to the club. Not just loans but loans with a view to permanent deals, we now have to go down the road of rebuilding the team, we really do. I have been given some more money on the budget and I'll be working on bringing the right kind of player to the club.
'I have specific targets in mind; there is a list of players who are realistic targets. I'm not sure how quickly this will happen but I am talking to a club on Monday about one or two players and I'm hoping to have some success with that. I'm going to do everything in my power to build the team again.'
