Rotherham 1 United 1

Gulls' boss Paul Buckle was pleased by what he saw from his team as they secured a valuable point away at Rotherham on Friday night: I'm very pleased; I thought it was a wonderful performance with some good individual displays in a fiercely contested game against a good side in Rotherham. I'm delighted with the players they went right to the very end backed by some fantastic support. The supporters backed the team from the first minute to the last and I'm proud of them and the team's performance.

'At half-time I told the players that most teams would have gone under here tonight but certainly not this group. We honestly believe that we should be higher up the league, we have remained positive and we have got a positive result at a place where nobody gave us a chance. We more than played our part in the match and we could have nicked come the end.

'We started the game quite brightly and then they had a good spell which you would expect but our shape was good and we stood up to it. Their goal was soft from our point of view, the ball was bouncing around and it was a poor goal to concede but that is the way things seem to be going in the eighteen yard box for us. We kept our heads after conceding and we were positive at half-time and then at the end Elliot pops up with the goal. We will take a lot of heart from this.

'I thought Lloyd (Macklin) did very well considering he only met his team mates four hours before. It was a late deal started on Thursday night that I had done a little bit of homework on and I felt we needed some strength in that area. I thought Lloyd could give us some pace and power and he did that.

'Lathaniel (Rowe-Turner) did well when he came on. I thought Mo Camara was looking a touch leggy; he hasn't played a lot football recently and after ninety minutes on Saturday to come here against a tough team on a difficult pitch was too much. I really do believe in Lathaniel, he is a brilliant prospect and we have brought him here for the long term and he showed in the second half what a good player he is.

'We need to still bring players in, the squad is still too small and we definitely need another striker. Elliot coming off the bench has been fantastic and we are working on his strengthin training every day but I feel that we may need another one up top to free up Chris Zebroski in a wide role.'
