ROBERT Olejnik was plucked from the Austria Wien youth system by Aston Villa when he was just 17 years-old.
The powerful Austrian goalkeeper progressed his game at Villa Park and was sent out on loan to Lincoln City in 2007. Although he did not make a first-team appearance for the Imps, he did help their reserve side win the Pontins Cup.
Bobby was surprisingly released by Villa manager Martin O'Neill at the end of the 2007 season but was immediately snapped up by Falkirk, where he would go on to feature in the Scottish Premier League and make over 100 appearances for the club.
His contract expired at cash-strapped Falkirk in the summer of 2011 and he became one of Martin Ling's first recruits as new manager at United.
Bobby started the new season as number one choice for the Gulls after an impressive pre-season and his excellent form has continued in the opening third of the campaign.
