Kieran signed for United in the last week of pre-season 2009, on a two year deal from Peterborough United. A strong, committed defender, Kieron came to Posh's attention while at Northwich but his time was blighted by injury at Peterborough. He proved a big success after a loan move to Accrington Stanley in 2008 and became a member of the successful England C squad. In his first season at Plainmoor Kieran proved a big hit with United supporters with a string of consistent, strong central defending performances.
