MARTIN Rice learned the goalkeeping art as a youngster at Exeter City and would spend his early years as a professional with the Grecians.
A switch to United arrived in 2007 and he would spend two years as a Gull before his release saw the superb shot-stopper drop down to non-League football with Truro City.
Upon his return to Plainmoor this summer, Martin admitted the time away from full-time football has made him more determined than ever to cement a career in the professional game.
He started his first season back in TQ1 as understudy to Bobby Olejnik and continues to support the Austrian custodian as an experienced second option.
