17. DARREN MULLINGS
A former England Schoolboy international, 19 year old Darren arrived at Plainmoor in the summer of 2007 having been released by Bristol Rovers. Tall and powerful, Darren was offered a pre-season trial by Paul Buckle and after some convincing performances in United's friendly fixtures, he was signed on a permanent contract for the current campaign.
Darren signed his first professional contract with Bristol Rovers in July 2005 but was limited to just 4 substitute appearances for the Rovers first team and spent some time last season on loan at Clevedon Town making 8 appearances and scoring once. He was also an unused substitute when Rovers beat Torquay in the 2006/07 Johnstones Paints Trophy.
Darren will probably provide cover for the central midfield positions, although he will be hoping to force his way into Paul Buckle's starting line-up and make a name for himself at Plainmoor during the coming season. Darren is squad number 17.
