Danny joined Spurs at the age of 12 and progressed through their youth system until being released at the age of 19, when he joined Luton Town. Despite many encouraging displays for Luton's reserve team, Danny found his first team opportunities limited to just 1 substitute appearance for The Hatters, and he was released by the Bedfordshire club in May 2007.

After a successful trial at Plainmoor, Danny was offered a one-year contract and quickly established himself as a fans favourite, thanks to his pace and trickery on the flanks. Danny also scored his first ever goal in senior football during United's 3 - 0 win at Aldershot in the first week of the 2007/08 season and two more against Yeovil in a famous F.A. Cup win. A technically gifted player, Danny has proved to be a vital member of the United squad and has proved time and again his value both as a starter and coming off the bench. The step back up into the League has proven easy for someone blessed with Danny's talents.
