An exciting young defender who can function either at Right Back or Centre Back, Chris initially arrived at Plainmoor on loan from Sheffield United towards the end of the 2006/07 season before signing a permanent contract in the summer of 2007, much to the delight of United fans. Chris made his United debut in a 3 - 0 home win against Wycombe Wanderers and even managed to get on the score sheet that day. A series of competitive performances in the last 2 months of the ill-fated 2006/07 season saw him win many admirers on the terraces and manager Paul Buckle was delighted when the tall Scotsman agreed to leave South Yorkshire and sign a 2 year contract with the Gulls. Last season Chris has established himself in the centre of defence and formed a solid partnership with Chris Todd in the latter stages of the campaign which culminated in the Play-Off victory over Cambridge United. Last season Chris became a permanent fixture in the side, this time at right back and signed a new deal with the Gulls in the summer.
