Former manager Ian Atkins brought Lee to Plainmoor in the summer of 2006, and the energetic midfielder has been one of United's most consistent performers during the last three seasons. Highly rated from a young age, Lee made his Football League debut for Luton Town at the age of just 18, and scored 5 goals from 17 starts in his first season and eventually made the move to Oxford United where he was a near ever-present in Oxford's relegation season of 2005/06. In Paul Buckle's time at Plainmoor Lee has operated at both right back and centre midfield and finally settled down to the midfield role in partnership with Nicky Wroe as United returned to the Football League and retained their league status last season. Lee is club captain and United's current longest serving player.
