An experienced left-back with over 100 appearances at this level, Kevin is another of the new faces at Plainmoor this season having made the short-move from Blue Square Premier rivals Forest Green Rovers. His form with Forest Green earned Kevin a call -up to the England 'C' squad for the Home Internationals last season.

Having started out as a trainee with Sheffield Wednesday, Kevin's career has included spells at Northampton, Notts County and Scarborough and although primarily a left-back he has also been known to feature on the left side of midfield. A regular penalty-taker, he weighed in with 6 goals for Forest Green last term and could well become Torquay's primary spot kick man this coming season.

Despite not being the tallest defender, Kevin is equally competent in the air and on the ground and will look to get forward at every opportunity. United supporters will expect to see lots of Kevin Nicholson this season and having been awarded the number 3 shirt, it looks likely he will be Paul Buckle's regular left-sided defender.
