GUY Branston began his career with Leicester City, from where he was loaned out to Rushden & Diamonds, Colchester United, Plymouth Argyle, Lincoln City and Rotherham United.
The final spell with the Millers earned him a permanent move and he spent five years Rotherham, including loan stints with Wycombe Wanderers and Peterborough United, before signing for Sheffield Wednesday in 2004.
Oldham Athletic was the next stop a year later and then a permanent switch back to Peterborough. Further loan spells with Rochdale and Northampton Town preceded a brief move to Notts County before Kettering Town and Burton Albion were added to the defender's long CV.
He initially joined United in a loan deal, which was made permanent in the summer of 2010.
