The hugely experienced central defender has returned to Plainmoor on a permanent contract after impressing during a 16 match loan spell last season. Leicester born Guy has featured at the heart of a number of clubs' defences over his 13 year career with his longest stay coming at Rotherham where he made over 100 appearances and scored 13 goals. It is a common thought that discipline has been a problem for Guy but any United fan who witnessed his sterling performances at the back end of last season giving numerous examples of his know-how, leadership and vocal encouragement plus the part he played in the team setting a record for not conceding a league goal will be delighted to see him once again taking to the field in a United shirt.
