Places are still available for the Football Development Programme run by Torquay United in association with Paignton Community and Sports College. Students will be on a BTEC First Diploma in Sport (Performance) Course and at the same time undertake training for two hours a day, four times a week, from Torquay United's Football Development coach Robbie Hererra.

With sufficient development, players will have the opportunity to train and play competitive fixtures with the Torquay United apprentice's squad. At the end of the course, if players have earned the required level of excellence, an apprenticeship with Torquay United may be offered. Should an apprenticeship not be offered, players have the option of continuing on the programme for a further year.

The course is open to students outside of the Torbay area.
