United 1 Argyle 2

United squad: Fisher (gk), Searle (gk); Kelly, Martin, Milton, Palmer, Vines, Beattie, Taylor, Haplin, Yeoman, Spear, Pryce, Sherratt, Lang, Cherril.
United's youth team narrowly lost their latest Puma Youth Alliance match at the weekend. In a well attended match at Plainmoor they were beaten 2-1 by Plymouth after taking an early first half lead through Lewis Vines after a mistake from the Argyle 'keeper. Manager Paul Compton was pleased with the first half performance from his team: 'The boys played as well as they have for a while in the first half against a very god side. In the end Plymouth proved a little bit too strong for us in the second half but it was a good performance and to be able to play at Plainmoor was a big positive for the team.'
In the second half Argyle proved why they are challenging for the South West title with a strong display and goals from Josh Grant, just after the hour mark, and England Under 17 international Liam Head ten minutes from time sealed their win.
It's another derby match next weekend for the squad when they host Exeter City at a venue still to be decided.
