Another round of work on the Plainmoor pitch has been completed in preparation for the new season. In 2018 primary drainage was installed, and this year secondary drainage channels have been made to further improve the standard of the pitch. The surface of the pitch was removed once again as part of general pitch maintenance.
The club was saddened to learn of the passing of former club photographer Colin Bratcher. Colin was a familiar figure around Plainmoor for over 35 years, with his photographs illustrating some of the most famous moments in United’s history. Our condolences go out to all of his family and friends at this very sad time.
It was another encouraging weekend for our youngsters, as our Under-8 side progressed through to the semi-finals of the Watcombe Football Festival.
