The Club was deeply saddened to learn over the weekend that former TUFC defender, Ian Twitchin, had passed away at the age 65.
Teignmouth born, Twitchin is one of only five players to make over 400 appearances for the Club. He also made 15 FA Cup, and 20 League Cup appearances to take his tally to 435 appearances in total. He also scored 17 goals in a spell that lasted from 1969 to 1980.
Fans of local football in the South West will also remember Ian fondly because of his strong ties to Teignmouth AFC.
We will be marking his significant career with TUFC before kick-off at our next home game against Gateshead FC at Plainmoor.
