Despite relegation to National League South being confirmed on Saturday, United have two games left to play before the 2017/18 season is complete. The first of which comes against Guiseley at Plainmoor on Tuesday in a rearranged fixture (7:45pm kick-off).

TUFC head coach Gary Owers expressed his desire to remain focused on winning the remaining two fixtures in his post match comments on Saturday. United could have stayed in the hunt for survival if they had claimed three points on Saturday, but despite having multiple chances could not find the winner after striker Rhys Healey had equalized in the 82nd minute.

Guiseley kicked off April with a 1-0 win over Hartlepool United, but since then they failed to win in their last five games. A point against Maidstone at home was followed up by defeats to Solihull Moors (3-1), Barrow (1-0), Dagenham & Redbridge (5-3), and Woking (2-1). It was their defeat to Barrow that confirmed their relegation from the National League.

Guiseley are managed by former Republic of Ireland defender Sean St Ledger. He was appointed manager of the Lions in Febryary 2018, succeeding e-Torquay United manager, Paul Cox. John Rooney is Guiseley’s top goal scorer with six goals so far. He is followed by Rowan Liburd and Dayle Southwell with five apiece.

United are bolstered by the return of Elliott Romain to the match day squad after serving a three-match ban after being sent off against Dover Athletic on April 7th. Jakub Sokolik is still out of contention for a place in the match day squad because of sickness.

Fans will be able to place their vote for the Player of the Season. Voting stations will be at the entrance to the Family Stand and Popside well.

Tickets purchased for the original fixture will be valid for Tuesday night’s game.
