We spoke to Yan Klukowski , Jamie Reid, & James Gray and asked them their thoughts on Saturday’s big match against Solihull Moors at Plainmoor (kick-off 3pm).

Midfielder Yan Klukowski

“I know they’ve had a difficult start but they’ll be up for the game. It is up to us to stamp our authority on the pitch, and force our style of play on them.

“The fans have been fantastic for us home and away. The amount of miles they have clocked up to support the team is very special. We want to reassure then that we are giving 100% and I thnk there were signs of that against Guiseley. If we had been a bit more clinical in front of goal then the fans would have been travelling home with smiles on their faces.

“We look to get that first win of the season at Plainmoor and give the fans something to cheer about.”

Forward Jamie Reid

“It will be a hard game – we both need the points.

“I am feeling good, I like linking up with Gozzy [Jake Gosling]. He’s good on the ball with some great touches.

“I’m pleased with my performances but I’m hungry for more goals and assists. I’ll be a bit more happy with myself when that happens. I’m a striker, naturally, but I am enjoying it [playing wide]. If we play anything near how we played against Guiseley then I think we’re in no doubt that we’ll pick up points and start climbing the table.

“The fans don’t realize how important they are. If they can stick with us and get behind the team then the performances will get better. We’re working hard in training – stick with us!”

Striker James Gray

“I played with Darren Carter, their captain, at Northampton. He’s a great player and he looked after me when I was there.

“They’re in the same predicament as us. They’re after their first win but I think it is a great opportunity. Not only for the players but to also lift the Club. We need to get the supporters on our side again. They travel in numbers everywhere. I noticed it playing at my former clubs – they always travel really well.

“I haven’t scored as of yet. As a forward that puts more pressure on you. I’m working hard to get in the team and when I get my chance, hopefully I’ll stay in.
