United head into Monday’s bank holiday fixture desperate to find some form, and turn the string of results that has left the team bottom of the table with just a point after six games.

Robbie Herrera has a difficult task on his hands to put a squad together for Monday’s trip to Woking. Liam Davis continues to be out of contention. Defender Josh Gowling is close to a comeback but Monday comes too soon for him to make a return. Jordan Lee remains with his parent club for assessment after illness. Ryan Clarke missed Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Solihull Moors and is a doubt for the match. Sam Chaney and Damon Lathrope will be assessed after coming off during Saturday’s match with groin strains.

Young development player Tallan Mitchell has signed on non-contract terms to bolster United’s match day squad.

United faced Woking four times last season but failed to beat them on all four occasions, losing 3-1 at away, losing after a replay in the FA Cup qualifying round, and then a 2-1 loss at home.

Woking have two wins from their six National League games so far. On the opening day of the season the Cards beat Gateshead 2-1 but followed that with defeats to Tranmere Rovers and Barrow. A 2-1 win over Eastleigh was followed by losses against Leyton Orient and Wrexham.

Safe journey to the travelling Yellow Army.
