United clinched another three points on the road in an impressive 2-0 win over Dulwich Hamlet.

United created the better chances in the first half and pushed on in the second to take the game away from the Hamlet with goals from Jamie Reid and Saikou Janneh.

United named an unchanged starting eleven but manager Gary Johnson named goalkeeper Alex Bass and Ryan Dickson on the bench. Both players returned to the match day squad after injury.

United created three chances in the first half. First Kalvin Kalala tested Dulwich ‘keeper from distance in the 15th minute. Then Saikou Janneh shot wide of the target in the 21st minute. Then Jamie Reid shot wide from further out. It was a tight contest and it was up to United to take the game to Dulwich in the second half.

Despite being the better of the two sides, United had Shaun MacDonald to thank to help swing the contest their way. MacDonald pulled of impressive reflex saves in the 50th and 56th minute.

Kalvin Kalala remained a threat throughout the enture 90 mintues, and he was unfortunate not to open the scoring in the 67th minute. He was being a nuisance to Dulwich’s defence and one typical run took him through on-on-one with Edwards. Unfortunately he was forced a little too wide of goal and his shot whictled past the far post.

United took the lead in the 70th after United overwhelmed Dulwich at the back. First Ruairi Keating had an opportunity to test Edwards, and then the ball fell to Jamie Reid whose low shot found the back of the net. The 4oo+ strong Yellow Army were sent into raptures.

Better was to come when Saikou Janneh leapt on an under-hit back pass to put United 2-0 up.

Dulwich forward Dipo Akinyemi had a chance to make it a nervy last couple of minutes if he had put away a header in front of goal in added on time. MacDonald was equal to the task once again.
