Torquay United Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of striker, Andre Wright.

It will be Wright’s second spell at Plainmoor after a successful loan move from West Bromwich Albion during our 2015/16 season when he was just 18. He made 22 appearances whilst with the Club and scored 3 goals. He also joined Kidderminster Harriers and Coventry City on loan while with the Baggies. Permanent moves to Kiddy and Nuneaton Borough followed.

“I’ve brought Andre because I think he has an enormous amount of potential, but has to show us that quickly,” said Owers. “I think he’s another strong and physical player to play up top.

“He’ll add a bit of everything and he’s another one of those players that needs to find a home. I’ve taken a few young players that I think I can work with and make better and he’s one of them.”

Wright may not feature straightaway according to the Gaffer.

“In fairness to him he’s a little behind the rest of the lads in terms of his fitness, so we will have to tread carefully for a couple of weeks whilst we get him up to speed.”

We’ll be uploading a video interview with Andre to Official TUFC TV soon.
