Torquay Ladies qualify for the 3rd Round QF of the SSE Women’s FA cup with a 1-0 victory over AFC Bournemouth at Plainmoor.
A fantastic occasion and opportunity for the ladies to get the experience of playing at Plainmoor which had been superbly looked after by Groundsman, Chris Ralph.
The game started brightly, chances came early on as the pace of Jana Richards and Sarah Smith was causing problems down either wing all game. The Yellows weren’t able to play with their usual passing flowing game as the opponents were able to break them down quickly and were well organised. Sian Chapman gave TULFC the lead on 25 minutes with a great ball through from Smith, Chapman took her touch wide and calmly slotted the ball at the far post past the advancing keeper.
Final score 1-0.
