UPDATE: Audio commentary for visually impaired will start on Saturday at our match against Leyton Orient. Please visit match day reception (the reception connected to the front car park) to collect your headphones & receiver. A £10 deposit will be taken and returned at the end of the game from match day reception.

We have two volunteers for this position, but we need at least one more to provide a consistent service. This role would be ideal for journalism or broadcast students looking to broaden their experience.

We are looking for volunteers to take up the roles of commentators to help visually impaired fans get more enjoyment out of their time supporting United at Plainmoor.

Commentating for the blind or partially sighted requires greater emphasis on where the ball is on the field, but will also include the usual facts and analysis you hear in football commentary. The volunteers will use a headset microphone and transmitter to provide the commentary.

We are looking for the volunteers to commit for the rest of the season to maintain a consistent service.

To express your interest in the role please email [email protected].
